GLORIAGATE coverage by the Mainstream Media still crappy

It's interesting that the GLORIAGATE controversy is not getting any extensive live coverage from GMA7, ABS-CBN and all the other channels (lalo na on the playing of the tape.)

Somebody commented na it's because:

well, that would make them lose precious commercial minutes and hours. sayang ang sponsorships.may sarili silang laban sa ratings and advertisements.

Ya, pero napaka-importante nito. This is about one person stealing the presidency by using the COMELEC and military to rig the votes.

So where are their effing priorities?!?

At kung si Erap ang nasa tape na yan (instead of GMA) talking about "dayaan" or "nakawan", I'm pretty sure these big tv stations would have pre-empted their other shows and commercials just to air the GLORIAGATE hearings live.

Kung si Lacson rin ang target diyan, they would have done the same thing. Remember the Corpus and Rosebud accusations vs. Lacson sa Senado? GMA7, ABS-CBN and other gov't channels had wall-to-wall live coverage on that too.

I guess ang lesson for the day dito ay ito: kung opposition ang target ng isang investigation, we the Mainstream Media will do everything in our power to provide extensive live coverage, even if we take a financial hit, so that we can "expose" the truth re them to the public.

At kung maka-adminisration naman ang ini-imbestigahan sa Kongresso, well... screw the public...
