The list of junketeers na sumama kay Arroyo sa UN meeting

Ernie Maceda lists them down here:

Among those named in a report by Philippine Consular officials in New York are Representatives Carmencita Villarosa (Occidental Mindoro), Danilo Suarez (Quezon), Anthony Miranda (Isabela); Herminia Ramiro (Misamis Occidental); Ana York Bondoc (Pampanga); Reynaldo Aquino (Pampanga); Jesli Lapus (Tarlac); Aurelio Umali (Nueva Ecija) and Monico Puentevella (Bacolod). And of course, Speaker Jose de Venecia.

Also with the GMA party are Governors Enrico Aumentado (Bohol); Leandro Verceles (Catanduanes) and Ben Evardone (Eastern Samar). Ten Cabinet officials are also in New York including BSP Governor Amado Tetangco, accompanied by a coterie of 50 assistants. All of them at five-star hotels.

Yes, at P56.12 to $1 exchange rate, there's no cost-cutting here. No wonder Department of Budget and Management does not follow GMA's conservation order.

More here:

More junketeers. In addition to those named in our column yesterday, TV reporters in New York added Representatives Raul del Mar (Cebu), Antonio Cuenco (Cebu), Nerissa Soon Ruiz (Cebu), Reylina Nicolas (Bulacan), Lorna Silverio (Bulacan) and Gov. Raymund Villafuerte of Camarines Sur. No senators joined GMA's entourage.

The House of Representatives Interparliamentary Meeting Relations Service (IPRS) refused to release to reporters the names of congressmen who were given authority to travel, implicitly admitting that the propriety of so many solons traveling is questionable. Majority Leader Prospero Nograles even claimed that the congressmen were traveling on their own expense. Ha ha ha!

Rep. Roilo Golez estimated the cost of the travel of the lawmakers at P25 million.

Reward yan ni GMA para sa kanila for a job well done on killing the impeachment complaint.
