Arroyo allies ram CHA CHA, No El still on

From the Tribune:

The election of Members of the Parliament and all local officials, except those in the barangay, is to be held on the second Monday of May 2007 while the incumbent Vice President shall automatically become a Member of Parliament and of the Cabinet until June 30, 2010.

But the next section says that “if in the plebiscite for ratification of the proposed amendments, the people shall decide to set the first elections under the parliamentary system to the second Monday of May 2010, the Interim Parliament shall be extended until June 30, 2010.”

If the people so decide to push the elections in 2007, the elected officials would be given a five-year term or till June 30, 2012.

In the case of the President, it was clear from the proposed amendments that she would stay until 2010 and even 2012, exercising the same powers given to her under the current setup “except those delegated to the Prime Minister, who shall serve as chief operating officer of the government, conformably with the parliamentary system.”

If the "people shall decide" raw... HAH! Like when they were allowed to decide who should be our president by Arroyo's "dagdag bawas" machine called the COMELEC?

Under this crooked admin's setup, hindi na yung voters ang nagdedecide kundi yung Arroyo admin at ang COMELEC nito via a pre-determined vote count.

GMA: So will I still lead by more than one M., overall?

Garcillano: More or less, it’s that advantage ma’am. Parang ganun din ang lalabas.

GMA: It cannot be less than one M.?

Garcillano: Pipilitin ho natin yan.
