Media and the Senate only ones left standing in ARroyo's way

This from Ellen:

Randy David tackles the question "Who will replace Gloria?"

Pinoys in US mount lobby for withdrawal of support from GMA. Uh-hmmm... maybe the FilAms are reading Rizalist's blog too.

Sen. Biazon bares pro-gov’t bombing plot:

SEN. Rodolfo Biazon yesterday raised suspicions that groups identified with the administration were going to stage bombings in Metro Manila.

Biazon, chairman of the Senate committee on defense and national security, said he has received information that soldiers received orders to bring explosives, particularly C4, to Metro Manila, but the purpose was unclear.

"I have communications from a group who says they are members of the military who had been in hiding for the past weeks because they were ordered to transport a shipment of C4 explosives from somewhere to Metro Manila," Biazon, a former AFP chief, told a press conference.

Biazon said five military men told him last week they were ordered by their superior to hand over the C4 explosives to another group in the Port Area in Manila.

Now, why would the soldiers be ordered to transport C4 explosives to Manila by their superiors?

Who says No El is gone na?

Sabi niya:

"Believe it or not, there is a General Order No. 6 which MalacaƱang never revealed, I received a copy from a source in the Press Secretary’s office."

Hmmm...

Thank you for the plug, John! Appreciate it.

Just a note on Sen. Biazon's theory - I wouldn't put it past Gloria to order something as low and as dangerous as bombings to allow for autogolpe (self-coup). Gloria isn't (as Imee puts it) a poor copy of Marcos, Gloria's a new and improved version. She, her hubby, and their subalterns have learned their lessons well, and are following tried and true methods. Sadly, so many are falling for the ploy. Again. Gloria is so terrifed of being held accountable, she's making sure that it'll be impossible via the imposition of martial rule. That's downright cold and calculating.

she wasn't this "calculating" or "clever" back when dante ang was advising her.

remember the "ina ng bayan" "ate glo" ideas plus the commercial where she emotes (with soft focus lights: "mga kababayan, tulungan nyo ako..." or something like that.

something has changed. it is the new people she brought into the admin to help her survive they're more ruthless and calculating than the ARroyo's former publicist and PR guy. people like ermita, defensor, avelino cruz, raul gonzalez, norberto gonzalez.

remember these names, there's a prison cell waiting for them once arroyo goes down.

Right you are, John. But apart from those she has ringing her rosies, she is a frightened woman. I bet she needs help to sleep at night. Remember MLQ3's post on how she'll lose all these defenses when her term ends? She's just building up towards a bigger plan to make sure she never has to pay for her sins.

I look forward to the day when we can hold all those who have contributed to this mess to be held accountable. It'll be a long list, I'm sure. Let's see to it that justice will be meted out. But, unlike some commenters, I can't quite see myself shouting "off with their heads". Not just yet.
