John Kerry's Apprentice

Bantayan nyo si Mike Defensor. He's a young John Kerry in the making.

From ellen Tordesillas:

Mike Defensor, presidential chief of staff who is expected to lead the administration’s senatorial ticket said, “It’s too early to say what our chances are but we are confident that once the public realizes that this is all about Arroyo and Estrada, it would understand the issues and not be carried away by the anti-GMA rhetoric.”

But was it only like three days ago that mike Defensor has been talking about "reconciliation" with erap. and now he's singing a different tune?

Presidential chief of staff Michael “Mike” Defensor, who has been endorsed by President Arroyo for a senatorial berth under the administration ticket, yesterday said he would be seeking and pushing a reconciliation with the undisputed leader of the political opposition, detained President Joseph Estrada and project himself as “Mr. Reconciliator” for his election campaign image.

He bared this during an interview on cable TV with host Korina Sanchez yesterday.

Mike Defensor is trying to be all things to all people. a flip flopper like john kerry. this is done in an effort to confuse the public. bantayan nyo si mike defensor. he will issue more contradictory statements in the future.

Besides, matutuwa ba ang mga erap supporters sa pinagsasabi ni mike defensor? he'd probably say something "reconciliatory" the next day to appease the erap followers.

This is typical of the administration's stance in pursuing CHA CHA: one day they say they will pursue it with, they next day they'll say they won't pursue it. then they'll reverse themselves and say they are still pushing for it... then they'll say they won't... ad infinitum. ho hum...

Flipflopping (or being all things to all people) is one way to keep their allies motivated (by dangling cha cha) while at the same time they don't want to get the people too angry for pushing the fraudulent "People's Initiative" and for recklessly pursuing CON ASS.
