The only way to deal with the so called "Third Force" if it becomes reality

(UDATE) Although like MLQ3, i'm sympathetic to the idea of a "third force" party, i cannot and will not support a so called "third force" at this time, especially if it's composed of breakaway admin incumbent senators. Sorry, but their claims of "independence" or branding themselves as "alternatives" won't fly.

The Wednesday Group + Angara (a bunch of fence-sitting re-electionists, all) as the "third force" core won't fool anybody. what they are, if their so called "third force" becomes reality, are a bunch of spoilers and stalking horses. oh, they'll try to fool cayetano and lacson into join them to bolster their groups anti-arroyo credentials. i hope these to gents won't fall for their trap. if they can't get cayetano or lacson, they'll recruit some other known anti-arroyos for decorative purposes. but the core and the driving force of the wednesday group + angara remains "we're not pro-arroyo, but we're not really against arroyo either."

the fact that billy esposo (the same guy who floated the ridiculous erap-gma frame*) is encouraging the wednesday group + angara to join forces with LAKAS-NUCD tells you everything you need to know about the trapo nature of the so called third force group masquerading as an "independent" party.

binay must be decisive. i sense that the wednesday group + angara are stalling for time in order to pirate the other opposition candidates, just like what the admin is doing with sotto, oreta and goma. i don't usually believe in setting deadlines, but binay should know that the longer the wednesday group continues to stall and steal some of the opposition's candidates, the weaker the opposition will become, and the bleeding will continue.

if angara and joker's third force becomes reality, conventional wisdom says that it will hurt the opposition. that may be correct, IF the opposition sits on it's hands and do nothing to counter the spoiler group.

I believe if left alone, this so called third force is a bigger threat to steal the protest votes from the anti-GMA groups than the arroyo admin's slate.

what the opposition needs to do if the wednesday group's "third force" is formed is to attack it, and attack them hard para hindi mag-succeed ang erap-GMA frame ni defensor at ng third farce group.

that is how the opposition should frame it. imbes na split sa opposition, it's a split between arroyo and it's breakaway group (which i think is more accurate anyway, since the wednesday group were part of arroyo's group and they never considered themselves part of the opposition.)

attack, and attack hard. of course, the wednesday group will fight back and say na maka-erap ang opposition. that is to be expected. they will use mike defensor's erap vs. GMA frame to defend themselves.

but the anti-GMA voters will have to ask these questions: who do you trust more to go after arroyo on gloriagate? when was the last time any members of the wednesday group + angara asked for arroyo's resignation? do they believe na ninakaw ni arroyo at garci ang election? once na na-determine na mga anti-gma voters ang sagot na yan, alam na nila kung sino ang iboboto nila.

so far, sa napapansin ko, it seems like the wednesday group's strategy is to court both the anti- and pro-arroyo votes with their fence-straddling postures on gloriagate ano?

anyway, if they decide to push thru with the "third force" club, and they helped arroyo survive, here's what i predict:

At kapag nanalo si Arroyo, the Wednesday group will be blamed for letting her win. The Third Force idea will talked about in negative terms in the future. And the Wednesday Group will be held as a prime example of a vote-splitting Trojan Horse for Arroyo.
