Message sent: Concentrate on Boxing muna, Manny

What the voters are saying is: We care for you Manny, that's why we don't want to see you enter politics for now. That's why we are not voting for you yet.

Sabi ng ng isang Manny Pacquiao fan:

“Matigas kasi ang ulo. Dapat sa boxing na lang siya. Mahal namin siya at ayaw naming pumasok talaga sa maruming pulitika,” said Daniel Aguila, a cigarette vendor from an old Blumentritt neighborhood and a certified Manny fateful.

And that's the sentiment of the majority of pacman fans i know.

More of my own views here.

on actors et al going into politics: voters’ enlightened choice may still be a work in progress…but, hey, everything has to start somewhere.

some WON probably from their track record, like cong. dan fernandez, cong. mikey arroyo, gov. vilma santos, vice-mayors herbert bautista and isko moreno, councilors aiko melendez, (?) alma moreno, and (?) marjorie barretto. the latter, a carry-over of dennis padilla’s track record possibly.

NOW, goma’s back to his long-forgotten singing career while victor is singing his way back to his career. boyet has to wait for another team-up project with vilma…not to shoot in batangas (!), he hopes. manny is punching bob for another multi-million bout. it’s bulagaan for anjo and (?) tito again. i don’t know what awaits cita astals, robert ortega, and nadia montenegro…but jestoni could sure return to his telenovela stints! rey malonzo’s Recom is winning and martial arts film is probably not a hit nowadays…so, he’s off to his radio program again!

lapid has to go back to his card (Tatlong Baraha) as a seating senator (!) and montano’s off to his own law again (Batas Ko’y Bala)…tough luck for him…for he thought law-crafting may become his bullet!

it’s a pity some actors didn’t heed the advice of Cong. Manik-Manaog (leo martinez) not to go into politics…but who’s to blame when popularity heeds the call?

…how about board member angelica jones’ (sexy star from 3rd district of Laguna) triumph (not her bra, mind you!) and vice-mayor teri onor’s (Eat Bulaga regular from Abucay, Bataan) win? mere popularity may have been the case here. i guess, their kababayans truly love them…
