This then is the irony, both amazing and ridiculous, when groups pose as though in representing their own interests, they are actually representing the interests of a whole community, region, country or even the world. Ergo, we have the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines claiming to protect the people by blocking the Department of Education’s sex education program and House Bill 3773. We have political parties/groups with names like Partido ng Masang Pilipino, Koalisyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino, Bayan Muna, Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino, Bagong Alyansang Makabayan and Partido Lakas ng Tao, the predecessor of the current ruling coalition. These names are carefully chosen for their nationalistic appeal to give forth an impression that their causes embody the totality of the Filipino people’s interests. We even have organizations—movements, actually—like Sigaw ng Bayan and One Voice (oh, yes, they can be launching pads for political careers, too).
Sino kaya sa One Voice ang tinutukoy niya? Si Mareng Winnie?
Eto pa. Sabi ni Joselu sa blog ni Sassy:
Seems like MLQ3 is more interested in looking for “smoke”.
“smoke” that can’t be held, can’t be defined, has no shape, something up in the clouds.
I don’t think judgments must be made from the “can be this can be that” point of view.
It’s either “it is or it’s not” or we just waist so much time for nothing.
I think he is leading more of a “fishing expidetion” or a witchhunt ad infinitum.
Sagot naman ni Sassy:
Yeah, can’t believe that he subscribes to that “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” blah blah but then that’s the way to build political careers in this country.
Sad, sad.
So tatakbo ba si MLQ3 sa 2007 elections o sa 2010? Totoo ba ito kuya Manuel?
