Here's the rest of the GLORIAGATE news

More evidence that this adminstration is getting desperate.

Aside from the missing Garci, nawawala rin ang secretaty niyang si Ellen Peralta.

Renato de Villa bumigay na rin.

More here on former GMA allies Renato de Villa and Parouk Hussin:

Calls for the ouster of President Arroyo are now spilling over the members of the academe even as they said they are convinced the voice on the alleged controversial tapes was indeed Mrs. Arroyo's.

Also, former and current members of the Arroyo Cabinet yesterday joined the growing clamor for the President to break her silence.

Renato de Villa, who was the first Executive Secretary of Mrs. Arroyo, said there is an “imperative” need for the President to confront the tapes, noting that the issue involves a moral one.

De Villa, also chairman of the political party Reporma, stressed his pronouncement was the official stand of his group.

“We, in Reporma, believe and declare that there is an imperative need for the President, as Chief Executive and Commander-in-Chief, and as the central character allegedly featured in the said tapes to explain herself frankly and convincingly before our people,” he told a press conference at the Edsa Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.

“Her position and responsibilities to the people should compel her to perform this act without further delay as a matter of duty,” De Villa added.

Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Gov. Parouk Hussin, for his part, bolted the administration Lakas party as he called for the postponement of the scheduled ARMM elections next month.

“How can you hold a honest and peaceful elections when the officials tasked to conduct the elections are the ones being implicated in the controversial wiretapped conversation,” he told a press conference at his office in Legaspi Village, Makati City.

And in other news, sabi ni Maceda na lumipat na raw si Angara sa administration. I nominate Manong Ernie as the "Master of the Obvious."

GMA booster. Sen. Edgardo Angara who headed the FPJ's campaign has definitely joined the ranks of GMA backers.

Angara has now called for an end to the Senate jueteng investigations. He has been silent on the Gloriagate issue. Previously he voted for the Malacañang-sponsored “sin” tax and value-added tax increase. He admitted meeting with GMA, too.

Angara should now formally declare his secession from the opposition bloc in the Senate.

re the COMELEC's Ben Abalos:

Delicadeza. Commission on Elections Chairman Benjamin Abalos says “that's going too far” in answer to calls for his resignation. Chairman Abalos should have resigned long ago after the Supreme Court struck down his computer machine procurement and told him to ask for a refund.

Chairman Abalos, according to no less than Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita, is the one who should investigate and locate Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano. He has not. Worse, he immediately came out to defend and clear Garcillano, saying he was not in charge of Mindanao.

Now, that almost everyone accepts that there was indeed cheating in the last 2004 elections, Abalos should resign. Not only Fernando Poe Jr. was cheated. I was cheated and so was Kit Tatad and Sonny Osmeña, Roncal Montilla, Neng Juliano and many others. In 2a001, Gringo Honasan was cheated out of six-year term.

Who's responsible? Benjamin Abalos. Do not tempt God some more, Mr. Chairman, the sooner you resign, the better for you. No less than his predecessor Christian Monsod has strongly suggested that Abalos should be gracious enough to resign to enable a new chairman to restore the prestige and independence of the Commission on Elections.

On who continues to remain silent to this day...

Ominous silence. Where is DILG Secretary General Angelo Reyes in all of this Gloriagate issue? Why is he so silent when Secretary Raul Gonzalez, NBI Chief General Reynaldo Wycoco and PNP Chief Director General Arturo Lomibao are all over the place trying to put out the fire? Can he also now repair the damage he inflicted on the nation and join the clamor for GMA to resign? Then maybe Angelo Reyes will have the honor once more of escorting GMA down the steps of Malacañang.

The bright outspoken, Sen. Joker Arroyo is also still silent despite urgent calls from Malacañang asking him to issue statement in support of the President. Meanwhile, only Senators Edgardo Angara and Johnny Ponce Enrile and Fred Lim showed up at the Malacañang dinner for Indonesian President Susilo Yudhoyono.

I'm not going to vote for that A-Hole Joker Arroyo, pati na rin yung apprentice niyang si Kiko Pangilinan at Ralph Recto.
