An alternative to Arroyo's Charter Change

I've said in the past na I'm against CHA CHA.

She wants a complete overhaul of the Constitution and wants to change our system from Presidential to Parliamentary. I am totally against that. Diversionary tactics lang niya yung CHA CHA para hindi na mawala na ang focus ng tao sa GLORIAGATE election fraud scandal niya.

Besides, the changes proposed in the system will only make the ambitious and power-mad Arroyo and her power-hungry Porkers (oink oink... pork barrel... oink oink) in the House more powerful with the abolition of term limits and the removal the checks-and-balance, which is vital in our system to prevent corruption and abuse of power from the illegitimate Arroyo admin.

Ito ang problema natin ngayon:

1) the Arroyo Admin, GMA's COMELEC and her corrupt allies in Congress
2) Economy

Now, if she is really serious about reforms, the first thing she would do is to resign her stolen post. Since pinag-iisipan pa niya ito, and wants to drag this scandal along further... here's an alternative to her CHA-CHA proposal: Amend or repeal only the provisions in the constitution that restrict economic activities. Meaning, no more moves to change the constitution wholesale. No more changes in the political system.

Just focus on the provisions dealing with the economy.

But I have a feeling though na Arroyo and her allies will not like it because they want more trapo power via shift to parliamentary form of gov't.

Btw, I got my idea from Neal Cruz. He said:

The US Constitution is still the same one that its founding fathers wrote. It has been amended several times, but it has not been changed even once. And America is now the richest and most powerful nation in the world, with a bicameral Congress like we have.

So let's amend our Constitution provision by provision, and the people can vote yes or no for each one. Changing the whole Charter at once mixes the good provisions with the bad ones, and the people have to vote for or against all in the plebiscite. In voting for the good provisions, they are forced to vote also for the bad ones.

And let's have a Cha-cha after the current politicians are out of office.

Right-o!
