Read this first from Conrad.
Eto naman yung idea ko. Let's convince biazon, drilon or serge osmena to take up the CBCP challenge and declare publicly that they're willing to replace arroyo on two conditions:
1) arroyo steps down
2) clean the COMELEC, then hold special elections where they will participate.
would it be great if let's say drilon and serge osmena would start the ball rolling by both declaring their candidacy tomorrow to replace arroyo? pwede nilang sabihin, i heard the CBCP ask for "credible candidates" to replace arroyo, and i've decided to offer myself as presidential candidate if arroyo steps down and hold new elections.
then the next day, biazon declares his candidacy on the same conditions raised by drilon and osmena.
then the next day, si fred lim naman ang nag-declare ng candidacy niya.
then three days later, si jun magsaysay, mar roxas, ping lacson and dick gordon ang nag-declare... and so on...
wouldn't that be cool? parang "i'm spartacus" "no, i'm spartacus" "no, i'm spartacus" LOL.
it will obviously solve the stupid question of "are there no credible alternatives" to replace arroyo?
UPDATE: Here, I can help them with issues that they can use against the illegitimate admin... as if kailangan pang gawin ito
(aka how to bring credibility, legitimacy, and honesty back to Malacanang)
- mahirap talagang umangat ang bansa natin as long as the fake president is in perpetual campaign mode, because her no. 1 priority is her survival over everything else, and that focus will shape how she conducts business.
- second, re priorities. GMA got it wrong.
We should be fixing the COMELEC, NOT the constitution.
but instead, we're spending a huge amount of time, energy and taxpayer money on chacha when hindi naman yan ang problema.
Wrong priority, wrong reform, wrong time talaga.
You want to avoid future Edsas, then fix the COMELEC-- so that people can use elections to remove corrupt officials instead of relying on People power to do the job again.
- the GMA resign movement should take the stand na cha cha will NOT be a priority. instead, we should focus on the economy, by reducing corruption, cutting wasteful pork barrel spending (sa congress at malacanang) dahil yan ay isa sa pinakamalaking source of corruption, and a more efficient tax collection. yung pera na mapupunta sana sa pork barrel ni arroyo at ng mga tongressman ay gagamitin para sa sweldo ng mga teachers at gov't employees.
kasi sa nakikita ko, yung publiko lang ang pinipilit na mags-sakripisyo ng arroyo admin by imposing EVAT and other higher taxes on them. Yung arroyo admin naman at ang mga kakampi nito sa kongreso ay gastos ng gastos, as if money grows on trees... as if we can afford their increasing addiction to pork barrel funds.
I repeat, the arroyo admin got it wrong. We need to reform the COMELEC, not the constitution.
- Instead of believing the admin's propaganda re a "strong economy," i'd prefer to see an economy that actually generates jobs instead of one that drives Filipinos outside the country to find work.

Ellen Tordesillas:
Exactly. Lots of interesting comments too. Just scroll down.
