When Arroyo claimed she will "create 6 million jobs" for Filipinos...

She did not mean na those jobs will be created here in Pinas.

What she meant was that her admin will "create" jobs by sending Filipinos abroad to work.

Most Filipinos would rather stay in our country and work here and be with their loved ones, but because of lack of job opportunities and decent-paying jobs here, they are forced to go overseas to Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Taiwan to earn a living.

Of course, it's easier to find jobs abroad because mas maganda ang ekonomiya at sitwasyon sa mga employer countries, compared to ours.

Our economy is so bad right now that most desperate Filipinos are leaving the country by the droves to find work in other countries.

But leave it to Arroyo's propagandists to spin this bad news in her favor like "Filipinos find jobs in record numbers overseas this year!!!"

And leave it to them to also take credit for "creating" those jobs in the US, the middle east, and Asia.

Mayroong job openings sa Bahrain? Wow, we should thank Arroyo for "creating" those jobs in Bahrain for Filipinos teachers and doctors. Maraming job vacancies sa US for caregivers? Well, GMA "created" those jobs too for Filipinos!

Anyways, I'm just reacting to this article from Conrad de Quiros on our "brain drain" problem.
