Arroyo praises 'responsible' media outfits

EVEN as President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo heaped praise on media organizations which she said have been practicing responsible journalism, she indirectly criticized those which she said have forgotten the difference between "fiscalizing journalism and sedition."
That is why she said she personally went to GMA Network's radio station dzBB to grant her first interview since an alleged attempt on Feb. 24 by her opponents to oust her.
Wearing a red dress, Arroyo was interviewed by GMA Network broadcaster and executive Mike Enriquez in his morning program "Saksi sa BB" on Tuesday.
Taking a swipe at media organizations perceived to be critical of her administration, Arroyo said responsible media should distinguish between "fiscalizing journalism and sedition."
I don't know if getting praised by GMA for "responsible" journalism is a good sign. It's probably like Marcos praising the Daily Express for good journalism.
