Sure, Secretary Dayrit, our family planning money (to stop overpopulation) is better spent Couples for Christ and ineffective methods like Natural birth control than artificial contraceptives.
Need a condom? Buy one: Dayrit
While the health department has stopped procuring condoms since 2001, these and other artificial contraceptives will still be available in barangay health centers and government hospitals, Health Secretary Manuel Dayrit said yesterday.
But Dayrit said the public should not require government to supply these.
"Even in squatter areas they can afford to buy condoms. They just buy cigarettes, actually some also have cellphones, television sets ... if they really want to use (condoms), they can buy it but we don't have to give these for free."
