Isafp agent grilled, but invokes right to privacy

The agent of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (Isafp), who earlier admitted in an affidavit that it was he who wiretapped Commission on Elections Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano, yesterday retracted even as President Arroyo's allies who head some committees conducting the inquiry on the controversial tapes were perceived to be lawyering for T/Sgt. Vidal Doble.
Representatives Darlene Antonio Custodio and Justin Chipeco complained that two of the chair-men of the five committees handling the investigation were acting like lawyers for Doble even as they cited Nueva Ecija Rep. Amado Espino and Makati Rep. Teodoro Locsin for telling Doble not to answer the questions propounded by ParaƱaque Rep. Roilo Golez.
Golez was asking Doble whether his wife and his common-law wife were now staying at the Isafp compound.
The ParaƱaque lawmaker also wanted Doble to be subjected to a voice analysis because he was repeatedly invoking his right to privacy during the hearing, but Locsin objected to Golez's motion and line of questioning.
Chipeco, Custodio and Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano pointed out that the chairmen of the committees should be impartial and not intervene in behalf of the witness' right to privacy.
And don't think that we will forget this, Teddyboy Locsin. History will not be forgiving on your role in GLORIAGATE.
(Btw, Teddyboy Locsin is Cory Aquino's former speechwriter. ;) )
UPDATE: It's not like the administration and Doble's tactics were unexpected or anything.
More here:
"National Security"? Yung tungkol sa GLORIAGATE at dayaan sa eleksyon? LMAO!
