Angara the Traitor

From Abante-tonite:

Miguel Romero, itinalaga ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo bilang governor ng Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).

More from Lito Banayo:

Meanwhile, on August 26, when Benjamin Agarao of Laguna’s fourth district was bent on making public his vote for impeachment, a voluble Mike Romero, apostol sin duda of Edgardo Angara, tried to persuade one of the few remaining LDP’s in Congress not to push through. But Benjie is made of sterner stuff.

At the time, Benjie did not even know that Mike, former congressman of Negros Oriental, everybody’s hail fellow Mike, had already been appointed by Glory-be as her new governor of the Development Bank of the Philippines. But he was certain Ed had sent Mike to talk to him.

On Thursday evening, the first of September, someone spotted Ed Angara, Mike Romero and that pre-med graduate who is now our national security adviser, Norberto Gonzales, in a quiet huddle.

Meanwhile too, the harassed middle forces, the oppressed lumpen, the idealistic men in uniform, the conscience-examining bishops and the unyielding faithful, all those who feel robbed and insulted that evil reigns where good must, in a land robbed of hope and now robbed of self-respect, await. Only their numbers will tell.

As you know, there's an agreement to create an umbrella organization uniting all the forces against GMA. it's called "bukluran para sa katotohanan." we'd like to get the blogosphere involved by those of us who agree on the points of unity, to come out wthstatement of support on monday,m when the big, and final push for impeachment will begin. the points of unity are: 1. each is a truth seeker 2. gma must go because she does not have the trust of the people 3. we beleive in peaceful, democratic ways of solving this crisis.

let me know if you're interested in joining the common blog effort on monday.
