So Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has killed off impeachment

What does this mean for us Filipinos?

Well, for one thing, ang ibig sabihin niyan is that it's okay to steal, it's okay to commit electoral fraud, it's okay to commit a crime.

And don't expect the other key players in the GLORIAGATE cheating machine and coverup to go to jail or be punished either, if Arroyo thinks they are too important to lose and they know too much. Tignan mo na lang yung kaso ni Virgilio Garcillano.

For those who think that we can punish those Gloria's allies in the senate and House by throwing them out of office in 2007, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK ARROYO AND HER COMELEC WILL ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN, KUNG AYAW NILANG MATALO ANG KAKAMPI NILA SA CONGRESS? If Arroyo can steal the elections and get away with it, she and her COMELEC can do that too for her allies. She will never allow her allies in both the Senate and House to lose the majority.

And there's nothing you can do about it since kanino ka magsusumbong?

Sure, we can impeach her again next year. But what makes you think her allies won't squash the process again and cover up for GMA?

Sa Charter Change referendum naman, even if most people don't want it and would vote no for the change -- it won't matter because if Arroyo and JDV wants the amended constitution to be "approved by the voters", papasa yang Charter Change na yan, by hook or by crook. Kung pwedeng magwagi si Arroyo via dagdag-bawas sa presidential elections, pwede ring i-dagdag-bawas ang Cha-cha referendum. And of course, they will use Mercy Abad of Trends again to manipulate the surveys of SWS and PULSE Asia, just like they did in the last presidential elections.

And here's an early indication of what will happen once we shift to parliamentary. It's not pretty.
