Sasabayan ng mass rally sa kahabaan ng Ayala Avenue, Makati City ng mga puwersang nananawagan sa pagbibitiw ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo ang paggunita bukas sa ika-33 anibersaryo ng pagdedeklara ng Martial Law noon ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos.
Ang mga magsasagawa ng kilos-protesta ay pangungunahan ng Bukluran Para sa Katotohanan na pinangungunahan bilang convenors ng mga biyudang sina dating Pangulong Corazon Aquino, Susan Roces-Poe, opposition solons, United Opposition at Black and White Movement na kinabibilangan naman ng Hyatt 10, Makati Business Club at Bangon Pilipinas ni Brother Eddie Villanueva. Sasama rin sa rally ang Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU).
"Whoever wants to come is free to come. This is the broadest-based ng anti-GMA forces," pahayag ni Lito Anzures, spokesman ng UNO, kasunod ang pagtiyak na mapupuno ang central business district ng halos 50,000-katao para isigaw ang pagbibitiw ni Pangulong Arroyo at maipalit ang pulso ng taumbayan.
"We are hoping that this is more organized and effective. Kahit mga ‘walk-ins’ sasali rito. Mas maganda kasi kung spontaneous ang crowd at ang mangyayari. Whenever there’s a rally as big as this, anytime, there’s always a chance to a people power," babala pa nito.
Magsisimula ang pagkilos dakong alas-tres ng hapon. Ayon kay Anzures, bagama’t dapat magtapos ng alas-nuwebe ng gabing iyon ang kanilang pagtitipon alinsunod sa permit to rally, hindi aniya maiiwasan ang pagpapatuloy nito depende sa galaw ng tao at iba pang magiging senaryo.
Mahigit 2,000 pulis ang ipakakalat ng National Capital Region Police Office sa buong Metro Manila para magbigay-seguridad sa mga lugar na pagdarausan ng protesta bukas.
Sa mga pupunta, magdala kayo ng payong at bottled water para handa kayo.
3:00 pm magsisimula ang rally.

naiinis na naman mga officemates ko dito. kc mag kaka traffic na naman. tsk tsk. a clear indication that the middle class is already indifferent. walang pakialam maliban sa naiinis sila sa traffic.

no. they are anti arroyo but they don't want the rallies to go on. my officemates are weird. they want arroyo out but they don't want rallies. huh.

That is laziness. You can not expect things to happen without your active participation. That is why scoundrels have been the scourge of our country. We prefer to be complacent most of the time. Tell your friends to be involved.
