Edcel Lagman expelled from Roco's party

REP. Edcel Lagman of Albay, author of the "prejudicial questions" which paved the way for the methodical killing of all three impeachment complaints in the House, was expelled Thursday from the Aksyon Demokratika party of the late Raul Roco,

Lagman said he resigned.

Another congressman, Benjamin Agarao of Laguna, said he was prepared to resign from Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino of Sen. Edgardo Angara because of pressures to withdraw his support for the impeachment of President Arroyo.

Aksyon Demokratiko chair Jaime Galvez-Tan and secretary general Lorna Kapunan said the party met and decided to sack Lagman for siding with the President’s House allies who are protecting her from impeachment.
