The two networks are afraid of releasing those tapes. It makes them liable to suits of all sorts.
Oh come on, crybaby. If erap or ping were the ones caught on tape talking re cheating or kidnapping, there's no doubt that the major tv networks would have played those tapes.
Remember Chavit's X-tapes that was supposedly a wiretap conversation between Erap and one of his generals re a "kill GMA plot"?
The major tv networks played those tapes (and they even included subtitles pa!) after Chavit and RJ Jacinto made them available to the media. They also played Bunye's Original and Spliced when it first came out.
The tv networks seem hesitant to play the Garci tapes, but that didn't stop them from playing Chavit's x-tapes and Bunye's Tapes, did they?
Remember, it was Bunye who started it all by introducing, playing, and making available the wiretapped tapes, Original and Spliced, to the media? Parts of the conversations on Bunye's tapes were played on tv and radio in the evening and the next day. Si Bunye ang nag-distribute ng mga tapes sa media, to make it available to the public, WHICH PDI DID, when they made the tapes downloadable.
But a funny thing happened a few days later. Mr. Edgar Ruado, the guy who Bunye claimed was the voice we heard on his tapes, denied it was his voice. So nagka-baluktot-baluktot na ang istorya ng Malacanang. And Palace and DOJ ordered the PDI to remove the mp3 files from their website and threatened anybody who has a copy of the tapes with jailtime. They also made Bunye "disappear" for a few days para maayos ng mga lawyers ang bagong script ni Bunye (he later said flipflopped and said na it was not GMA's voice after all, LOL).
So my question again is: If the major tv networks can play Chavit and Bunye's wiretapped tapes without prior authentication, why can't they play the GARCI tapes on tv (with subtitles) too?
If they can play those wiretapped tapes that had the potential to make erap and the opposition look bad, why can't they do the same thing this administration?
Double standard?
Pro-Arroyo supporters talk the illegality of wiretapping. But who the fuck were behind the wiretapping. Who did the wiretapping? Who ordered the wiretapping? Is it the opposition? BZZZZZZZZ!!! Wrong answer. It was GMA's ISAFP that did the wiretapping, and it was one of their own who blew the whistle on GMA and GARCI's cheating machine.
Arroyo's lawyers will tell you that the tapes are "inadmissible" as evidence in a court of law. But I don't care if the tapes are not used in court... all I'm asking is that ABS-CBN and GMA7 play those G-D- tapes and let the people decide kung nandaya si GMA o hindi.
As long as the conversations in the tapes are authentic (not the Bunye garbage), then I'm willing to make an exception and see the tapes played in it's entirety, because the tapes contain information that exposes corruption, election fraud, obstruction of justice, kidnapping, bribery, at the highest levels in office. I'm willing to make an exception because we can't rely on Arroyo's DOJ, Arroyo's SC, Arroyo's COMELEC, Arroyo's Congress, Arroyo's Ombudsman to do anything other than more stonewalling and coverups.
And I also want to use these tapes to expose ISAFP, gma's spy organization who did all the wiretapping and eavesdropping against the opposition candidates, the admin candidates and the media.
I want to know kung how many wiretapped tapes they still have in their library, sino ang na-wiretap nila, how many times they wiretapped these people, when did they do it, and how did they do it. ISAFP needs to come clean on this issue. Release all their tapes to the public and let the people decide.
UPDATE: Looking again at Dean Bocobo's blog called "The First Iraq", medyo natatawa ako sa nangyayari sa atin. While Iraq is slowly making progress towards democracy, kabaligtaran naman sa atin.
It's as if we're beginning to resemble a middle-eastern country, where they have fake elections, illegitimate rulers, ipinagbabawal ng gobierno ang mga anti-administration rallies sa kalsada, at binubugbog ng mga pulis ang gustong mag rally laban sa pekeng administration na ito.
