Who to believe -- Garci or Golez?

From Abante-tonite:

"The statement of Garcillano including my name as among those who allegedly personally or by phone talked to him is crazy. I did not know him from Adam prior to this Garci tape controversy, don’t remember ever meeting him, unless he was with Comelec Chairman (Benjamin) Abalos du-ring Comelec public briefing on computerization for NCR candidates conducted in the Comelec session hall sometime in Jan-Feb 2004," ani Golez.

Read this too: Garci as clown

Ninez compares how this admin treated Garci and Samuel Ong:

Compare this treatment of Garci to the treatment of Samuel Ong, who had told the media in a press conference that he has the “mother of all tapes” of the “Hello Garci” conversations and even pointed to the fact that the tape originated from the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines naming Vidal Doble, but whom Gloria and her Presidential Security Group and Isafp agents, plus her loyal police, have taken into their custody, to ensure that he does not talk. And then they instead slap charges against Ong.

And even as Ong, through his lawyers, has intimated that he will be willing to testify before the Senate, but not the House, understandably, there is that big push from Gloria and her Justice secretary and law enforcers to prevent Ong from testifying before the Senate, threatening to have him arrested if he as much as attend the hearings.

But didn't they claim they wanted the truth out? So why are they so afraid of Ong's testimony, not of Garci and why do they threaten him with arrest when they did nothing to go after Garci who was ordered arrested earlier?

Damn, now the P3-B Fertilizer funds records have gone missing

Now it is the documents on the P728 million, a part of the misused P3-billion fertilizer funds, that have gone missing.

This was admitted yesterday by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) officials before senators, attributing the loss of these important documents to the mysterious fire that razed the records section of the DBM.

Shortly after the fire was reported, it was claimed by DBM officials that the records were safe, and that all the documents pertaining to the fertilizer funds were intact, as they were also recorded on microfilm.

With the new admission of paper loss, suspicions over the fire that hit the DBM records section was deliberate and do have a strong basis.

Senators were also told that the farmers' funds for the so-called Ginintuang Masaganang Ani (GMA) program of the Department of agriculture (DA) were “created after the fact,” giving them the impression it was set up by the administration to cover up for the questioned release of fertilizer funds during the election period last year.
