I did a double-take on this one...

From the Sunstar:

Congresswoman Marcos asked the Arroyo administration to stop using the name of the Marcoses in order to regain the trust of the people and not to give her mother false hopes by respecting the deceased president.

Heh.

She also said na she's not a sellout:

"Whatever happens, I will remain a part of the movement that opposes the leadership of President Arroyo," Marcos said, adding that her "principles have not changed nor has any desire to continue to fight for the leadership and government that our country deserves."

"I am not for sale and I cannot be bought. I will continue the battle I started in Congress and on the streets with the interest of the Filipino people in my mind and in my heart," she added during the same forum.

Sorry Imee, but I don't believe you. You yourself admitted na i-indian mo ang botohan sa impeachment because of your mother's request.

And you and I and everybody else know why she wanted you to do it.

probably. pero, i still give imee the benefit of the doubt. mahirap nga namang kalabanin sarili mong ina. but i do believe imee is still with us.

I agree that she is still with the opposition, but it was still disappointing to see her sell her vote (even if that vote was not enough to make it 79 votes.)

Having said that, I'm glad na inamin niya yung tunay na dahilan (her mom) kung bakit hindi siya sumipot. She also said na it was a "total failure of judgment" and she sounded very remorseful. Naniniwala rin ako sa kasabihan na "time heals all wounds."

But I still find her response to reviving the impeachment option very disappointing:

Rep. Marcos, however, sidestepped questions on whether she is ready to redeem herself by supporting the motion for reconsideration that the minority plans to raise at the resumption of sessions on Sept. 19.

She and Asistio said they both believe Arroyo should be ousted through a people power revolt.

Ayaw pumirma dahil "mas gusto" nilang mag people power... yan rin ang bullshit excuse ng iilan na sumali sa Oplan: Absent eh.

Obvious naman na nabili (thru money or favors) ang boto ni Imee at Rep. Asistio even though nasa opposition pa rin sila.

Kasi yan lang naman ang binili ng Arroyo admin sa kanila: their votes. They are not required to switch sides. Para mas hindi halata yung bayaran.

i think she is still with the opposition.

pero at the same time, she let the opposition down when they needed her the most.
